Our  rented House ~ like the design

Main Entrance ~ My mother gave me the white lily plants bought from KK 5years ago

I like the gray painted block so that people hardly see in if the main door open

This is what happened today..

It was time, 4.30pm to fetch my boys from Ugama school in JIS.  I was early 5 minutes and I waited for them at the drop off zone. From far I saw Zikry, my second boy, running happily towards the gate. He got into the car and started telling me how was his day at school. My eyes kept on searching for my eldest one and could not focusing on Zikry's conversation. I was still waiting at the drop off zone and started grumbling where he was..  Then, Zikry kept on asking me.. "mana abang ni?" I was a bit mad because Irfan's late and I had to park my car and got down with little Ziyad in my arms. And another hand holding Zikry's hand walked towards the T Block which made me climbed few staircase. We bumped each other and I asked him where he was in angry manner. I felt angry because I was worried about him .. kena culik ke.. terkunci dlm bilik air ke.. Anyway, Irfan told me "Abang Solat Asar lah"... Alhamdulillah, Sejuk hati mama yang marah ni ..

Zikry was excited seeing me waiting for him in the car

Kafarah Dosa

Alhamdulillah tamat sudah kem ibadah selama sebulan Ramadhan Kareem. Muncul Syawal meraikan kemenangan. Betapa seronok dan gembira dapat meraikan syawal bersama suami, anak-anak, ibu bapa adik-adik, mertua, ipar duai (kalau disenaraikan memanglah panjang).

Tapi habis sahaja cuti seminggu kembali ke negara Brunei Darussalam, aku diuji. Terlalu banyak nikmat sehingga aku terlupa seketika. ALLAH masih sayangkan aku.

Nikmat Allah ~ Satu dahan mempunyai banyak buah langsat~

Itulah... Ujian Allah. Terlalai dan leka seketika dengan nikmat Allah, satu Peringatan Allah sampai kepadaku. Satu Kafarah untuk aku yang banyak dosa. Astagfirullah Rabbal Baraya, Asatgfirullah Minal Khataya ...

Hijrah kali Ketiga buat kami sekeluarga

Segala Puji Bagi Allah Tuhan Sekelian 'Alam.

Betapa indahNya Ciptaan Allah!

Hari bersejarah 5 JULAI 2011.
Itulah hari kami berhijrah. Packers datang tepat masa yg dijanjikan. 8.30 pagi mulanya proses packing barang2 ke kotak.

Mothers Day?

I'm not celebrating the day even the kids call me Mama. I'm not celebrating the day even I have one inside my heart.

But, on that day, since my 1st son was in kindy school I receive one card or craft made from him and the legacy giving the card or craft from my sons continues until this year .. I guess so..??(because my 2nd son is in his final kindy years at school).

For me, Mother's day is neither a Malay culture nor an Islamic way of life. As far as I remember when I was young there were no mother's day celebrations. The only celebrations we have are birthdays and anniversary my mama and papa.

I do keep all my sons artworks. They are very creative expressing their creativeness :) I guess I can hold an art show from their artwork collection in the art gallery. If Allah's will, I will...

To test my husband on the day, I urge him to get me something special for me. What do you think his response? "You are my wife. If there is a Wife Day for sure i will get something special for you." Hahhaha.. I suppose so.. That makes me love him more :)

Conclusion is NO celebration on mothers day. I'm happy and grateful to have you guys!! All Praises to Allah.

How to soak my dear eldest son?

Dear my 1st son,
I wish I have a special turbo washing machine. Put some bleach and soak you all night long. When the day comes I wash you strongly like a turbulent seas. And Finally the cycle ends it becomes calm like the tranquil waters of the lake. The 'translucent you' enables me to see through inner you. So that I know how to induce you in doing something benefit for your own good. Totally confident in my hand that you will carry out my orders like a son honour his mother words.
You are my sunshine You are my moon You are my everything in this world and Thereafter. O Allah, please give me strength and guide me in bringing up my children especially my 1st one who is in the transition from young to teenager.
Love, Mama.

I Love ......

...............................................................steamed pomfret.

It's a simple dish but I steamed it on a family occasion. There's a few reason why the dish becomes very significant dish to me.
  • When I was young, my mom cooked the pomfret dish only during the fasting month, Ramadhan Mubarak. So, when I look at the fish I feel that it was fasting month.
  • The fish is very costly. My mom will make sure every family member will get one pomfret. She fork out some from her saving just to have a pomfret for every plate on the table. Me?? One pomfret for four people. HAHAHAAA... Not because I can't afford to have one pomfret for one person. I am trying to instill the sharing and appreciation values among us. Off Course, Both ways (my mom and me) represent and potray the high appreciation values in our cooking. I always remember how my mom had lavish parties on our table during the fasting month. How I miss that..!!

To steam the pomfret you need to have:
  1. Fresh Pomfret
  2. Young ginger
  3. Garlic
  4. Coriander leave
  5. Salt and pepper
  6. Tomato (optional)
  7. Carrot (optional)
  8. A steamer / A Microwave
Malaysian named this fish Ikan Bawal Putih
Bruneian named this fish Ikan Duai = BND25/kg

Mama : Jurutera. (Rasanya Zikry tahu abah keje apa)
Zikry : Jurutera tu apa?
Mama : Enginneerrr.. (starting to stress out the sound of 'enginnn..) Kenapa? Angah nak jadi engineer ke?
Zikry : Ooo engineer tu keje cari engine eh?
Mama : Hahahaha bukanlah...
Irfan : Bukan cari Engine.. Abah keje cari minyakkk laa (marah ler tu~ my correctionist!)

Finally...

.... my family library is there..... :)

It takes me almost 2 months to set up my family library. Of course it started with brainstorming myself; thinking what ways should I arranged the books according to the book genre or according to the kind of readers. My utmost objective is I want to make the library friendly-user in finding books especially for my children.

For Whom?
My Husband loves reading, My eldest son loves reading. Both of them will take a book when they feel tired. They energize their body with reading.
All Praises To Allah I'm blessed with these people who loves reading. So, I dedicate my effort to my Husband and children.

When it started?
I started with a collection of books for children. It consists a set
of children encyclopedia, a set of good manner books for children, a set of '1 story for 1 day' books. I bought them with my first pay as a teacher and I spent almost RM2K.

Keeps on collecting ... My husband and I go to the bookshop every month. The kids will get a chance to choose what kind of books they want for that particular month. We do not set boundaries to buy books. The only thing we have to make sure we read the book then we can buy the new one! Happy Reading Everybody!

My 6-year-old Entertainer in the family

My second son and I were having great time doing some extra work on one sunday afternoon. Last week we did farm animals theme. And that day was supposed to rap up the topic. But still he insisted me to keep the theme until next month. Ok ... up to you boss! Anyway, we're not in a rigid scheme of work like in school.

The funny things happened when I ask him the male, female and babies of animals. He got right for 'chicken'. But, when it came to 'horse' , he told me this impressively.

Zikry: Male horse we call it stallion.
Mama: Very Good!
Zikry : Female horse we call it mare.
Mama: Excellent! :)
Zikry: Babies horse we call it horsie!
Mama: What??!!(trying to figure out his answer while my hand reaching out for a dictionary) (am I so naive or my CPU dysfunctioned?)

Then, My eldest son laughed out loud.. "Mama, horsie is in the TOY STORY3 la mama...!" and then.. I started laughing... (am I late?) ~better late than never~

Mistake makes Me Aware...

My eldest son had his Science 1st topic test. He only had one mistake which made me ''aargghh!”

This is why I totally disagree when MOE backhome first introduce Science and Mathematics in English just to improve the proficiency level of the students. I was an English option teacher and if I were one of the ministry people I would suggest to curb the problem witihin the language itself. Once it has been tackled then you can teach Science and Mathematics in English. Anyway, it was unsuccessful solution. Luckily, we are not in our home country. :) (for the time being)

Back to the mistkake. The Question is : A deaf man has lost his sense of sight. True or False.

My son did not know the meaning of “deaf”. Once you do not know the meaning you definitely answer the question by luck. If it is in Malay, for sure he will get it right. I did revision with him before hand but my questions (made myself) just based on the theory.. I forgot to make questions that applied to the theory. Yeah ...remember??!! I'm not a Science teacher.. and not really interested of science subject during my schooldays..

All Praise and thank be to Allah, Irfan learn his mistake after a post mortem topic test we did together. He learn so did I(learn his mistake). Just a simple word at the beginning (deaf) but will hold it for the rest of his learning period.

I'm Alive!

It's been ages to re-open this page. So many reasons that hinder me from doing so. Yeah right!! it is a lame statement.

Alhamdulillah, I still can retrieve the username email account plus the password. It is definitely and significant achievement for me. Lot's of thinking and rethinking has been done in order to get back the username and password. After delivering my 3rd son 6 months ago, i have difficulties to bring back the memory in my mind. My mama said, "Aida ni dah banyak putus urat tu sbb susah nak ingat" ~ in other words ~ HAYWIRE..............

Awesome! My CPU is working ...! or else someone has to do the CPR brain for me. :) Is there any?

So, What am I going to write? I'm not going to write what I have left behind. I'll write what I want and what I feel.
